The KNMI warns of strong winds with thunderstorms in Drenthe this afternoon from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The weather institute then announces a code yellow, because hailstones up to 2 centimeters in size can fall.
Traffic on the road can be severely affected by showers, especially due to flooding. This can increase with rainfall of 10 to 20 millimeters. Wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour are also expected.
The warning applies to the northeast of the country, i.e. Drenthe, Groningen and Overijssel.
