Jürgen Klopp extends his team at Red Bull. In the future, he will also be supported by Zsolt Löw. The long-time assistant coach of Thomas Tuchel, who was already an assistant coach at RB Leipzig from 2015 to 2018, will work as Head of Soccer Development according to “dpa” information. The “Sport Bild” first reported about it.
At the beginning of the week, the Hungarian started his first business trip together with Klopp and the technical director Mario Gómez after signing the contract. It goes to Brazil to the RB Club Bragantino, then the trip to New York and then later leads to Tokyo to Omiya Ardija. The 45-year-old should support all teams in the RB cosmos in the development of game philosophy, analysis and development of trainers and players.
He has enough previous knowledge of the RB teams: Löw worked for two years at the Austrian Farm Team FC Liefering before he was a assistant coach for a season at Red Bull Salzburg. Then the move to Leipzig took place, where he and head coach Ralf Rangnick in 2016 rose to the Bundesliga. Then he went to Paris Saint-Germain in 2018 and two seasons later to Chelsea FC, where he won the Champions League with Tuchel. From 2023 he was a co-trainer from Tuchel at Bayern until the past separation in June last year.
After six coaching stations – all as an assistant – Zsolt would also be an experienced man who could jump into the breach as a head coach at any time. Most recently, he was acted as a coach at some clubs, including at VfB Stuttgart.
