Current music

KIZ last released their record GÖRLITZER PARK on June 21, 2024. Benedikt Kendler wrote about this for his ME text, among other things: “On GÖRLITZER PARK, KIZ reinvent themselves. The title track uses an analytical perspective to examine the full range of social problems in a European metropolis using the example of Berlin’s Scandal Park. Maxim, Tarek and Nico reflect social developments with personal stories and thus create the image of a place that is always both: exemplary of the city’s social problems and an individual space of experience.”

And further: “On the album, for the first time, the rappers themselves are the focus of their lyrics. They are concerned with the question of how, in a brutal, socially created environment, victims can themselves become beating, rioting, stabbing perpetrators. This new seriousness, which determines almost the entire album, is a great blessing.”
