In 2023, Kiss gave their last concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Before the musicians finally left the big stage, they made sure to announce a comeback – albeit one of a digital nature. There is now news from the band members about the big Kiss return.
“New era” is set to begin in Las Vegas
At their last appearance, Kiss announced that there would be more shows as part of a “new era”. They are working together with Pophouse Entertainment to bring their biggest hits to the stage in the coming years. As already announced at the time, the creative minds behind the comeback are taking advantage of advancing digitalization and replacing the performers with holograms in the future.
The avatars were presented at Madison Square Garden in 2023 and performed the song “God Gave Rock And Roll To You”. Since the reaction from fans was less than enthusiastic, Gene Simmons tried to calm tempers and promised that the holograms would be significantly improved with a budget of “over 200 million” US dollars.
Digital show with new songs
The plan to bring back the masked rockers is now moving. Recently, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley gave an interview to Pollstar magazine where they provided updates on the matter. The show is now officially scheduled for 2028.
So the bassist said: “It will be the legendary characters: the Demon, the Starchild and so on. Who you want to include in this lineup is up to you.”
When asked which songs to expect, his bandmate replied: “There will be all the classics and a few surprises.” These are new songs that were personally co-written by the hottest band in the world. So if you’re still a skeptical fan, you can still look forward to songs you’ve never heard before.
