Kings Of Leon release teaser for new single “Mustang”

The American rock band will release their new single on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

At their first concert in 2024, in January in Mexico, Kings Of Leon announced that they were working on new music. Towards the end of their performance, singer Caleb Followill told the audience that fans can look forward to a new release called “Mustang.” Now came the first taste of the song in the form of a 17-second instrumental. You can also see a compilation of various scenes: initially three alleged robbers with animal masks are shown, then four smoking monks, a helicopter, a construction site and a blue balloon. The images are accompanied by a melody with a downward-tuned bass riff and a short vocal part without any recognizable lyrics. The single is scheduled to be released this Thursday (February 22nd).

Kings of Leon live 2024

In November 2023, the band was announced as the headliner for the opening concert of the F1 British Grand Prix, taking place at Silverstone on July 4, 2024. Alongside them, Stormzy, Pete Tong and Rudimental will perform at the circuit on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as part of the four-day festival. And in Germany too, Kings Of Leon will be on stage at the Deichbrand Festival in Cuxhaven/Nordholz between July 18th and 21st, 2024.

The band most recently released their album WHEN YOU SEE YOURSELF in 2021 with a total of eleven tracks. The LP rose to number 95 on the US Top Rock Albums Billboard chart. Since then, Kings Of Leon have given live performances, but until the current single announcement, things had remained rather quiet around the group.
