At the Castello Tolcinasco Golf Resort & Spa, in the province of Milan, the program for 2026 for the Paralympic golf sector was revealed, with the strategic agreement signed for the next three years between the Korean house and the Italian Golf Federation
New step forward Kia regarding its commitment toinclusion and in the sustainable mobility in the world of sport. The Korean car manufacturer has in fact entered into a new collaboration with Fig (Italian Golf Federation)becoming automotive partner of the paralympic sector of this discipline. An agreement valid for the next three years, therefore until 2028presented on Thursday 18 December in the scenario of Castello Tolcinasco Golf Resort & Spa of Pieve Emanuele, in the province of Milan. Golf Club which, from 2004 to 2008, also hosted five editions of the Italian Open, including the 2006 one won by Francesco Molinari. This new collaboration agreement was thus unveiled in the presence of Giuseppe Bitti (president of Kia Italia), Cristiano Cerchiai (president of the Italian Golf Federation), Nicola Maestroni (technical commissioner of the National Paralympic Fig team), Emanuel Sisto (president of Castello Tolcinasco Golf Resort & Spa). Connected Angelica Mastrodomenico (responsible for Paralympic preparation). After the presentation there was a round table dedicated to the “Right of access to sport”.

With this new collaboration, Kia Italia will support the mobility of the Italian Paralympic golf national team during rallies and important events, such as theItalian Open ProAmAble hey European team championships dedicated to golfers with disabilities. All this is also part of the development path outlined by Federgolf throughout 2026 of the Paralympic sector. “This partnership reflects Kia’s values and our commitment to increasingly inclusive mobility – declared Bitti, president of Kia Italia -. We believe in sport as a universal language capable of uniting people and breaking down barriers”. Furthermore, Bitti also talked about the van PV5or the Kia vehicle that will accompany the athletes: “With our Kia PV5, a 100% electric van designed to meet every mobility need – he added – we want to make it possible for all children and athletes, even those with disabilities, to experience the passion for golf”. A new project between the Korean company and Federgolf, which also made Cerchiai, number one of the Fig, satisfied: “I would like to thank Kia for sharing values and inspiring principles and for believing in the driving force of golf, the engine of life for many Paralympic athletes” his words, “On the road, as on the green, the path that we decided to undertake together is based on concepts such as inclusion, accessibility and sustainability”.

The features of the Kia PV5

As recalled by President Bitti, the vehicle chosen by Kia to support the Italian Golf Federation is the PV5 in its variant Passenger. The 100% electric van from the Korean company is available in the a version five seatswith orders opened last November: both the six- and seven-seater models will arrive on the Italian market in 2026. For the PV5 Passenger already on the price list, there are two different options for battery and power: the first with a capacity of 51.5 kWh It has an electric motor from 122 HP (89 kW), for an estimated autonomy of 295 km; on the market in the variant Air at the price of 38 thousand eurosinstead the Earth coast 43,500 euros. As for the second, the battery increases to a capacity of 72.2 kWh with a power of 163 HP (120 kW), for an autonomy estimated here at 412km. Listed in the variant Air starting from 42 thousand euroswhile for the Earth we get to 47,500 euros.
