From the nominees for the Silver Camera, the jury of the Audience Award has selected ten photos that represent the year in all its highs and lows.
Kees van de Veen from Haren is one of the ten nominees with his photo ‘Asylum Crisis Ter Apel’. The other nominees for this award are:
Laurens Bosch with ‘Termination Leidseplein Amsterdam hostage’, Daniel Rosenthal with ‘War in Ukraine – Finding their loved one’, Ilvy Njiokiktjien with ‘Ukraine’, Eddy van Wessel with ‘Ruins for freedom’, Claudia Otten with ‘Rimpelingen, het secret van een court’, Mona van den Berg with ‘Ryan is pregnant’, Angelo Blankespoor with ‘Play-offs final ADO Den Haag – Excelsior’, Jaap van den Beukel with ‘Mijn Noord’ and David Hup with ‘Dutch safari’.

During the exhibition period of De Zilveren Camera 2022 in Museum Hilversum you can vote in the museum and you can already vote online www.silvercamera.nl . The winning photographer will receive a cash prize of 1,000 euros.
Earlier it was announced that Van de Veen has been nominated in the Regional category. In that category he has competition from Corné Sparidaens from Groningen with his series about heart patient Daan in the UMCG.
