Ski jumper Katharina Schmid has once again demonstrated her exceptional form.
The 28-year-old only had to admit defeat to the Slovenian winner Nika Prevc in her second place at the World Cup in Engelberg, Switzerland.
Schmid jumped 135 and 123.5 meters. She thus relegated the Norwegian Thea Minyan Bjoerseth to third place. Prevc managed a fabulous jump of 140 meters in the first round.
However, Schmid continues to lead the overall World Cup ahead of Prevc. The Oberstdorf native has won three of the five individual competitions this season. She came second in the other two competitions. As the second best German, Selina Freitag ended up in eighth place.
