The divorce of wellness coach Karita Tykä and her ex-husband Petri Tykä has been in the background again in recent days, when Petri expressed his feelings about the breakup on a public Facebook account.
In the update, Petri said that he had made, among other things, “the biggest mistake of his life more than 20 years ago” and described that his life had been a “gentle mental and physical downhill” after that.
After Petri’s update, Karita published a story on her Instagram account in which she expressed that she had moved on in her life and that she no longer spends her energy on the past.
The atmosphere changed
On Tuesday evening, Karita had another voice on the clock. He posted a tearful and serious video in the stories section, with tears streaming down his cheeks. Stories can be viewed for 24 hours.
An emotional publication is rare for Karita, as her social media content is typically focused on well-being, very positive and calm.
– So many heavy emotions, and they don’t need to be smoothed out to be beautiful. I’m sharing this because I’m tired of the glossy reality that’s been glued on, where everything looks easy and controlled. The reality is different. It’s boring, longing and unfinished.
Karita’s mother died at the beginning of 2021. Karita says in the publication that her mother’s longing rears its head especially at Christmas.
– None of us is a machine, not a superhuman, and no one’s life is constant light and success. It is in that fragility, honesty and humanity that the true beauty of life lies, Karita concludes the article.
In the next story, Karita is lying on the couch. He says that he received a Mexican proverb today, which reads as follows.

Karita and Petri Tykkä divorced in 2023. Petri filed for divorce from Karita at the time, but canceled the divorce in October 2023. Karita filed for divorce from her husband at the beginning of this year. The divorce process is currently still ongoing.
The couple, who got married in 2008, have one son together, Luca.
