Anti -Semitic statements and other misconduct led to the decision. More information here.
Anti-Semitic statements, swastika shirts and pro-diddy statements: Kanye West-which has always made questionable headlines in the past-the focus has recently been the focus of his misconduct. But now his problematic statements get the rapper – his talent agency drops him.
His behavior is no longer tolerated
The weekend from February 7th to 9th – or rather Kanye West’s posts from these days – was apparently decisive for the agency’s decision. The 47-year-old, who is now neither on X nor on Instagram, threw around with anti-Semitic statements, pornographic content and declarations of love to Sean “Diddy” Combs. However, the “Donda” interpreter reached the climax of the audacity on the evening of the Super Bowl, on Sunday, February 9th. West bought a broadcast time and campaigned in this for the latest access to the Yeezy brand online shop, a white T-shirt for $ 20, on which a huge swastika is emblazoned at the front.
These actions meant that 33 & West Talentagent Daniel McCartney announced on Monday, February 10th via Instagram: “With immediate effect, I no longer represent Ye (F/K/A Kanye West) because of his recent hurtful and hated statements that neither I can still tolerate 33 & West. ”Below, McCartney put a red heart and wished all peace and love.
But it doesn’t just stay with the outline
However, the fact that the musician was dropped by his agency are by no means all consequences that West now has to answer. On Sunday, February 9th, Eric Cui, chief of staff of Yeezy, made known about social media that he would leave Western companies. Above all, Cui seemed to blame his employer’s sympathy with Diddy. The latter has been detained since September due to numerous allegations of abuse.
“I loved working on Yzy because I believed in your dream,” Cui started his explanation on Instagram. And further: “I believe in freedom of speech … So I will use my freedom to speak to say that violence and crimes against women and children are wrong.”
On Tuesday, February 11th, Shopify confirmed that the company took the Yeezy website out of the net after the offer of the swastika shirt. On top of that, a former Yeezy employee Kanye West sued the same day. The reason for the lawsuit: The rapper is said to not only mocked but also attacked the Jewish employee due to her religion.
