Ex-alpine skier Kalle Palander sought divorce for his long-time spouse Riina-Maija Palander in January. However, the application was not investigated on 20 May, as Kalle did not add to the application, even though he had been asked to do so.
Based on the latest social media updates, both Kalle and Riina-Maija have spent time in their joint mansion in Estonia. 15 years ago, the married couple bought the Ontika Manor for accommodation. Palanders and their families have also lived in the manor.

Kalle published a joint photo on May 29 with his first tractor. Palander has marked the Ontika Manor as a photographic place. The publication does not show when the picture was taken. Kalle also posted a video on the grill section of his Instagram account in the Stories section.

The Stories section of Riina-Maija’s Instagram account shows that she has renovated the manor’s yard. Riina-Maija is particularly proud of her breeding peonies.

Ilta-Sanomat reached Kalle Palander on Sunday. Kalle did not want to comment on his private life in any way to the public.
According to the Western Uusimaa District Court, the decision to investigate the divorce application means that the Palanders will have to start the process if they still want to apply for divorce.
In April, the Western Uusimaa District Court confirmed to Iltalehti that the couple’s divorce process was stuck. At that time, a request for an opinion had been sent to Riina-Maija, but had not submitted to the District Court’s opinion or a certificate of notification in a divorce case.
The investigative decision was made after Kalle Palander did not provide Riina-Maija’s address or other information to the district court by the deadline.
The Palanders got married in 2007. In the same year they gave birth to a daughter. The family was supplemented by twins in 2012. In addition, both have children from their previous relationships.
Kalle Palander applied for a divorce from Riina-Maija on 7 January. The couple has a marriage contract. The matrimonial agreement shows that neither has a matrimonial right to each other’s current or future property, their return, or their profit.
