The Swedish national player Anton Källberg has extended his contract with the German table tennis record champions Borussia Düsseldorf until 2027.
The 28-year-old has been playing for Borussia since 2016. “I am very happy that I can continue to be part of Borussia Düsseldorf. The club is my sporting home,” Källberg was quoted as saying in a club statement.
Källberg has already won 248 singles for Düsseldorf, he has been German champion six times and won the Champions League twice. With Sweden he won the silver medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, and in a 3-0 win against Germany in the quarterfinals he defeated Timo Boll in four sets.
