There are six players who have played over 500 games for Juventus, Leonardo Bonucci (36) being one of them. If the new technical director Cristiano Giuntoli has his way, Bonucci will stick to 502 games, because the veteran plays according to the record champions’ plans “sky“ no longer matter. Accordingly, Giuntoli informed the central defender of this decision: Bonucci will be put on the transfer market by the club and is no longer part of the squad that will start on the US tour in the near future.
With a reported salary of around 12 million euros gross (6.5 million euros net), Bonucci is the best-paid defender in Serie A.
