When they faced another great historic of A in the first three days of the championship, the Nerazzurri never lost. The lady, on the other hand, has some empty jokes and a very old blow to make her fans forget

Ready, via and is already derby of Italy. Rare, very rare. Usually the fans are given a little more time to acclimatize the new championship, before trimming a big match. Yet sometimes it happens. As in this case: but it is not the only one. Here is the story of the big series of Serie A played in the first three days of the season, when summer is still a fresh memory and schools (in some regions) have not even started.

Juve, the draw with Napoli and the 0-4 of 1939

Serie A as we know it today has existed since 1929, when the single group was introduced for the first time. If we analyze every single comparison between the three historic big names in our championship (Milan, Inter and Juve) within the third day, a really interesting figure comes out. Juve has 3 wins, 5 draws and 1 only defeat. And the “fault” for that only defeat falls right on Inter, then trained by Tony Cargnelli. The Nerazzurri imposed themselves with a 4-0 sound in a very hot San Siro, on September 17, 1939. And since then, Juve had only another opportunity to challenge the Nerazzurri within the first three of the championship: in 2013, in a race that ended 1-1 with the goals of Vidal and Icardi.

Inter invincible in the first three days

The Nerazzurri boast very different precedents. Compared to the Juventus opponent, Inter can make use of a more comforting historian: 4 wins and 2 draws. But above all zero defeats. Three of the 4 successes come from the victories of the Milan derby (in 1938, in 1940 and more recently in 2015). The fourth is precisely the 4-0 against Caligaris’s Juve of ’39. But be careful, because in two days Juve will play at home. And, thinking of that distant 1939, he will have one more reason to look for the three points.
