Federico Gatti and Juve are one step away from the agreement to extend the contract. Remove the rumors that approached him elsewhere, the defender is considered a firm point of the new Juventus cycle beyond how the future of the club’s sports area will develop. The footballer was fundamental for most of the season with Thiago Motta, having kept a blow to the emergency in the backward department, and is missing enough in recent weeks under the management of Igor Tudor, during which he is recovering from a micro fracture to perone (he hopes to return with Lazio, Udinese realistically focuses in the next shift). Already last summer Gatti had been targeted by some clubs from the Premier League. To them, in recent months Napoli has been ran, with a light but continuous courtship: the defender has never opened in reality, then Juve thought about restoring the linearity of his future. The club has put a renewal proposal on the table until 2029 which can easily get rid of 2030: the current agreement would end at 2028, but for the role that Gatti has carved out in the new Juventus it becomes necessary to adapt the salary. After the last renewal made in 2023, in fact, the defender had gained from 900 thousand euros to about one and a half million: now the deal should end over 2 million, to which will be added a variable part in the form of bonuses related to achieving objectives. The agreement between the parties is very close.
