Julian Knoth is what is generally called a jack of all. He is known to the nerves as a singer and bass player, but also mixes with Peter Muffin Trio, the Benjamins, Yum Yum Club and Njelk. Julian Knoth has already released two singles from his solo debut. After “the rain”, the track “No song” last came out, in which he shows himself again, according to the press release, “close, fragile, honest”. And “somewhere between folk & chamber pop, only his voice, strings & acoustic guitar”.
In the entire work, he is said to have inspired Johnny Cash, Cat Power, Feist and Adrienne Lenker. Knoth wrote the pieces during the Corona pandemic and he finally found that they didn’t really want to fit any of his other music projects.
On the invisible sea, the topic of water can always be found as a red thread, as well as melancholy and depression look out of the ten pieces of the plate.
