Julian Baas has been playing on a loan for Eintracht Braunschweig since this winter. Apparently the BTSV could firmly sign him for a manageable sum.

So far, Julian Baas has been in the starting eleven of Eintracht Braunschweig. In the end, the relegation -threatened second division team went off as the winner. The BTSV and Baas – that seems to fit.

The 22 -year -old midfielder seems to have got used to his new adopted home at least quickly. “I’m really happy to be here,” he says in the club’s own interview. “Of course it was very nice to win the first two games that I played.”

That is not entirely true. Because the Dutchman gave his mini debut in the Eintracht jersey on February 1 against 1. FC Köln. He could no longer prevent the 1-2 loss in the eight minutes of play. Then he was always set – and Eintracht victorious. “I look forward to playing here for the rest of the year,” says Baas with a view of the remaining season.

So far, the 22-year-old has only been on loan for the BTSV. Until the next summer, Eintracht has secured the services of the center player of Sparta Rotterdam – including the purchase option.

And if the Braunschweigers are actually interested in a fixed BAAS obligation, a comparatively low transfer fee would apparently be due. According to the “Braunschweiger Zeitung”, the amount stipulated should be 300,000 euros. That would be 700,000 euros less than the amount of its current market value.

If the midfielder continues to convince with his performance, the BTSV managers should be grateful. And even Baas himself does not seem to be averse to staying in Braunschweig after the successful first weeks at his first wanderlings abroad.

He likes the city, he explains and refers to several visits to the castle arcades and in restaurants in the area. For the rest of the year, however, he still had to “work through a list,” he adds with a smile.

Maybe there may be a little more time for this. At first he wanted to concentrate on the remaining season with Eintracht, with which he last left the relegation places through a 1-0 against SV Darmstadt 98. His main goal is to stay in the league, said Baas. He wanted to play an important role. And then you will see what happens in summer.
