The late F1 driver Jules Bianchi father Philippe Bianchi shocked by the events of the Japanese GP.

In Sunday’s race, AlphaTaur’s Pierre Gasly returned from the pits to the track during the red flags, when a tractor partially appeared on the track.

The tractor was moving Carlos Sainz’s car, which had hit the wall.

– I could have died, Gasly roared on the team radio.

Philippe Bianchi’s son Jules Bianchi had a tragic accident eight years ago in 2014 right on the Suzuka track when he hit a tractor on the track. Bianchi suffered brain injuries as a result of the crash and eventually died from his injuries.

He was only 25 years old when he died.

– Drivers’ lives are not valued. Jules’ memory is not valued, Philippe Bianchi wrote on his Instagram account regarding Gasly’s situation.

The Japanese GP was suspended after the first round of crashes. It is still pouring rain in the track area and the race jury has decided that the rain is expected to subside.
