Who knows whether Germany would have won against France (7: 6 ne) and would now be in front of the semi-finals against Spain if the 22-year-old did not put the long sprint back after 105 strenuous minutes. In the penalty area, she prevented Melvine Malard with a stereotype on the free shot on the goal.
And this scene has long been not an isolated case: According to the data from “Createfootball”, Brand played 34 duels against France and thus ten more than any other player on the pitch. She won strong 18 of them – and is now the best duplacement at this EM with 41 duels obtained (!). Especially since they really appreciate the cooperation in the team circle: “It’s a lot of fun with the girls. We are hardly in the room, but also chill together – below, outside in the garden.”
