After the Hollywood blockbuster “F1” with Brad Pitt has developed into a striker at the box office, the next film project with Formula 1 cover is now in the starting blocks: This time, however, Bollywood brand!
Under the working title “NK 370”, the realization of a racing driver biopics is currently being worked on, based on the life story of India’s first Formula 1 pilot: Narain Karthikeyan.
The now 48-year-old, who now earns his living as a retailer for restored motorcycles, debut Jordan in the premier class in 2005. Although Karthikeyan mostly drove at the end of the field, he made it to the podium at the scandal grand prix in Indianapolis that year.
A unique chance – and a nickname for eternity
At that time, only the six Bridgestone cars started the race, but third place behind the two Ferraris snapped Karthikeyan’s Jordan teammate Tiago Monteiro. Fourth place should remain Karthikeyan’s only points, although in 2011 and 2012 it returned to Formula 1 with HRT.
