The judge in Bruges has acquitted an 83-year-old retired commissioner overall after an unprecedented complaint from Jean-Claude Lacote (59), who is serving 30 years for the murder of a British businessman. According to Lacote, he did not get a fair trial because Willy Devestel had already slandered him in advance. According to the judge, the investigator had no malicious intentions.
