Josh Kiszka is committed to homosexuality

Josh Kiszka, the singer of the American rock band Greta Van Fleet, has publicly acknowledged his homosexuality via Instagram. One reason for his statement on social media: he wants to work against discrimination against people in the LGBTQ+ community.

In his post, the musician also emphasized that his friends and family members have known about his sexual orientation for a long time. Kiszka has been in a “loving, same-sex relationship” for eight years. He consciously chose the timing of his outing. Because in his home state of Tennessee, a law is to be passed that bans drag queen shows in public places. Another law, passed in March 2023 in the US state, also bans gender reassignment health care for children.

“It is imperative that I speak my truth not only for myself, but in the hope of changing hearts, minds and laws in Tennessee and beyond,” Kiszka explained in his Instagram post. “The LGBTQ+ community is a cultural pillar of society that advocates positivity and acceptance through art, music, literature, film and most importantly, legislation,” he continued. He also pointed his fans to organizations that would oppose anti-LGBTQ+ edicts.

There is also news from his band Greta Van Fleet, in which Josh Kiszka plays with his brothers Jake and Sam: Their third album “Starcatcher” will be released on July 21st and the associated world tour will start at the end of July.
