The twin festivals hurricanes and Southside, both of which took place from June 15 to 18, 2023, can look back on a successful track record: organizer FKP Scorpio draws a positive conclusion with almost 78,000 in Scheeßel and 62,000 visitors in Neuhausen ob Eck. Advance sales for both Open Airs will begin on Tuesday, June 20th.

Tickets go on sale at 12pm for the Hurricane and 2pm for the Southside. The advance sales start with a limited contingent of festival passes from 199 euros. This year’s music program at the festivals, presented by ROLLING STONE and MUSIKEXPRESS, featured names such as museThe Doctors, Billy Talent, Kraftklub, Placebo, Casper, Peter Fox and Queens Of The Stone Age. Tash Sultana, Ashnikko, RIN, Badmómzjay, The 1975 and Razz also performed.
For the first time, the winners of the FLINTA* newcomer contest “Gamechanger” were on stage. With the competition, FKP wanted to contribute its part to a “lively and diverse music culture”, as the event organizer explained in a press release. Karo Lynn and Attic Stories were able to assert themselves among the applicants and perform live on site.
