Telegraaf journalist Jordi Versteegden would like it if his argument with Gordon is resolved. He doesn’t think it’s necessary to have a beef with the entertainer. “Time for a cup of coffee.”

Gordon hates Jordi Versteegden and has therefore blocked the Telegraaf journalist on Instagram. “On Talpa’s press day I was allowed to interview him again. I was suddenly in that real-life series of his. ‘Jordi gets on his knees there’, it was said. That is really not true. It has been taken out of context,” the reporter later fumed.

Critical Jordi

A year has now passed and Jordi hopes that the dispute will be resolved. Will it be okay? “I hope so, because at the end of the year you also think: well, what will 2026 bring me? I’m in such a way that I don’t think there is much point in continuing to argue,” he says in the podcast Strictly Private.

“Of course: my job as a journalist means that you have to be critical every now and then and ask sharp questions. Not everyone is always happy with that.”

From hell

Jordi mentions another example. “Last week I also wrote about mother Monique, the mother-in-law from helland you then have a good conversation with them over the phone.”

He continues: “Only the next day I sit here on the podcast or in the evening on Shownieuws and then I have to give my opinion about the program and they don’t always like that.”

Coffee

Celebrities quickly get pissed off, according to Jordi. “You can tell by the reactions you get. That also applies to Gordon. I hope we can just have a coffee sometime and see: how can we meet each other again?”

“We don’t have to become friends, because that’s not necessary in this profession, but we do have to be able to talk to each other in a normal way and talk about each other.”
