According to what was reported by various English sources – including the Times -, the Reds’ market men, stuck on the 35 million valuation for the midfielder (in pounds, substantial difference), would not have appreciated Inter’s offer, which is around twenty million, and indeed would have been annoyed by the Nerazzurri’s attempts. Normal market dynamics, one might think, just as the maneuvers of a club to try to lower the price of a card are equally normal, especially if, as in the case of Jones, the contract that binds him to the current club expires next year. In any case, Inter had already tried in January and continue to consider the Englishman ideal for their midfield of the future. And who knows, maybe the next proposal will ease Liverpool’s annoyance…
