Jildou van der Bijl leaves LINDA.

Jildou van der Bijl says goodbye to LINDA after 17 years. Van der Bijl, creative director of LINDA., will leave on March 1, 2023. Under Van der Bijl’s leadership, LINDA.magazine has grown into one of the largest and most prominent media companies in the Netherlands. She will remain a member of the Supervisory Board of the LINDA.foundation.

Van der Bijl started at Mood for Magazines (the publisher of LINDA.) in 2006 as editor-in-chief of La Vie en Rose, OOG (magazine for the Rijksmuseum) and the specials (LINDA.wonen, LINDA.mode, and later LINDA.meiden , L’HOMO., and LINDA.man). Together with Linda de Mol, she was editor-in-chief of LINDA.magazine from 2008 for twelve years. In 2019, Jildou van der Bijl and Linda de Mol switched to Net5 for a year and Karin Swerink was appointed general editor-in-chief of LINDA. In the last two years, Van der Bijl has developed commercially creative collaborations as creative director, among other things. Its work is divided internally.

Jildou van der Bijl: “It makes me proud that I was able to leave my mark on the most beautiful media brand in the Netherlands for such a long time, together with extremely talented people. It is with a heavy heart that I leave this wonderful company on the eve of a spectacular jubilee year, for which all preparations have been made. My time is up, I’m looking forward to new adventures. I thank my dear colleagues and of course Linda de Mol for all the freedom and confidence I have always felt.”

Linda de Mol: “Jildou has been invaluable to LINDA for seventeen years. With pain in my heart I see her leave. But I wish her new adventures and the friendship remains.”

Van der Bijl started her journalistic career at Nieuwe Revu. She became editor-in-chief there in 1999. In 2006 Van der Bijl made the switch to the publishing house Mood for Magazines. And from 2008 she became editor-in-chief of LINDA. In 2015 she received the Mercur d’Or for this. Media company Talpa made – after the acquisition of LINDA. – announced in February 2019 that Van der Bijl, together with Linda de Mol, started working as creative director at television channel Net5.
