Jeroen van der Boom does not find his singing and dancing son Luuk Nepobaby. He states that his son does not adjust to his well -known last name. “He is even on the Herman Brood Academy.”
It is unbelievable how many fepobabies suddenly walk loose: you blink for a moment and there is one again. Yesterday the son of Paul de Leeuw performed in the talk show of Johnny de Mol, and that is just one of the many. Jeroen van der Boom also has one walking around: his Nepobaby Luuk sings and dances and wants to become known.
‘Nepo? No!’
The Weekend Asks Jeroen if he also finds his son a Nepobaby. “It is often claimed that the success of children is due to their last name. That it is because they are so-called ‘Nepobabies’. Do you think it is easier for Luuk to break through because you are his father? Or more difficult?”
Jeroen does not think it is right that his son is called a Nepobaby. “People say that often, but how can we measure that? Look, it has advantages but also disadvantages and they are right for me. Luuk wants to do it all himself.”
Herman Brood
According to Jeroen, his son is not a Nepobaby at all. “Luuk does his own thing in his own way. He is eighteen years old and knows very well what he wants.”
He continues: “I am mainly a committed father. He is now at the Herman Brood Academy, you have to be hired for that. You don’t just come in from it:” Jeroen van der Boom has called, his son has to go on it. ” It is a good thing that it doesn’t work that way. “
I am becoming a singer
It’s all on its own, says Jeroen. “If you decide to sing without training and think: I will become a singer, just like my father, or just like something with the idea: my father also sings so I do it, then I really think that is a different story. Luuk has followed a thorough dance course at Lucia Marthes.”
That is a well -known institute for dance, acting and singing. “Then he completed his HAVO and then he was admitted to the Herman Brood Academy, with about fifteen other students. He wants to be able to and produce it himself. You don’t have to give him a song, he makes it his own.”
