Marvel star Jeremy Renner got off to a dramatic start in 2023: The 52-year-old was run over by a heavy snow plow on his Lake Tahoe ranch while trying to save his nephew from the skidding vehicle. In the process, he not only suffered “blunt trauma” in the chest area and “orthopedic injuries”, but also more than 30 broken bones. Since then, Jeremy Renner has been in rehab and has shared his health progress with his fans via Instagram.

The Hawkeye actor posted a video to his Instagram Story on Monday (March 27) of himself walking upright on an anti-gravity treadmill. He explains to an elderly man that with the help of the machine he has to carry less of his body weight, like walking with a cane. The man replies, “That’s really cool. And you’re actually doing the walking motion.” Renner replies he’s only using 40% of his body weight when connected to the machine. Underneath the video, the actor wrote, “Now is the time for my body to rest and recover from my will.”

Jeremy Renner fights his way back to life

On Jan. 21, Jeremy Renner posted a photo update of himself in the hospital, captioning it: “Morning workout, resolutions all changed in this special new year… Born out of tragedy for my entire family and quickly focused to the union of actionable love. I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and their caring for my family and I… Lots of love and appreciation to you all. Those 30+ broken bones will heal and grow stronger, as will the love and bonds with family and friends that will deepen.”
