Jennifer Ewbank won’t say which Voice pervert harassed her

Jennifer Ewbank still won’t say which of the Voice perverts harassed her. Yesterday, after half a year, she came back to her unpleasant experiences at the RTL 4 show.

It has now been over half a year since Jennifer Ewbank in a Instagram post revealed that she also had experiences with transgressive behavior during her participation in The Voice of Holland. “There have been two situations where (both verbally and physically) I was treated inappropriately as a woman during my participation at the time,” she said.

Voice perverts

Jennifer is the sister of John Ewbank, who is again the lyricist for one of those Voice perverts, Marco Borsato. However, she never wanted to mention a name. “I confronted the person in question directly about it both times and it did not haunt me further,” she said at the time.

It bothered Jennifer that eyewitnesses did not say anything about the inappropriate behaviour: “This did take place in front of others in the workplace, of whom I find it very bad how the environment reacted to it by laughing at it. Apparently his behavior was approved.”

Jennifer looks back

Now, half a year later, Jennifer has given an interview to RTL Boulevard because she has made a new song. She was also asked about the Voice riot yesterday in the program. Some cases are very severe. One of the Voice perverts, Ali B, is even accused of rape from multiple sides.

Jennifer: “Of course I had some sort of experience myself, but not like that. There have been physical acts in which I acted directly and immediately indicated: yo, what are you doing? Until there and no further. For me that was a very closed feeling, but when it came out I immediately knew: it could be about that person.”

‘Very very intense’

Boulevard presenter Bridget Maasland finds it intense that Jennifer did not feel free to sound the alarm at the time. “This is very intense. So she has not dared to do anything or has done nothing with it, because she thinks it is normal. It is very intense, of course, because that of course allowed it all to continue.”

She continues: “I don’t put that on her. I say that it has probably happened very often and that we apparently experienced that as normal after all.”

Frank Dane: “You also see how big it has been, right? You ask her about it and she also has a story right away.”

Bridget: “Very intense.”

In addition to Ali and Marco, band leader Jeroen Rietbergen (Linda de Mol’s ex) and director Martijn N. have also been accused of transgressive behaviour.
