The American company owned by the Stellantis group presents the new off-road vehicle with exclusively electric traction, which will arrive in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2026. Permanent all-wheel drive, electronically controlled differentials and removable doors for off-road adventures
The range Jeeps welcomes a new off-road vehicle. Is called Reconand is driven by a totally electric engine, which discharges 650 horsepower and 840 Nm on the four driving wheels via two thrusters, arranged one per axle. Thus the Recon manages to sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour 3.6 secondsbut above all thanks to the high torque it can extricate itself more easily off-road, where it can count on an attack angle of 34 degrees, an exit of 34.5 degrees and a bump of 23.5 degrees. It is powered by a battery pack 100 kWhprotected by steel “shields” to prevent it from being damaged on the most difficult terrain, and which according to the American company owned by the group Stellantiswould be able to guarantee a maximum autonomy of 450 kilometers. Production will start in early 2026 at the Tolucain Mexicoand the Recon will initially be available in North American markets. Starting from the fourth quarter of the year, however, its debut is also expected in European markets, includingItaly.

The two electric engines express their own 650 HP of maximum power through two differentialsa fully lockable electronically controlled rear one, and an “open” front one, with the option of disconnecting the front wheels to improve efficiency and therefore increase autonomy. With the setup Moabthe Recon is equipped with 33 inch tires and raised suspension, for a ground clearance of 24 centimeters at the lowest point.
The derived technological platform is the Stla Largewith architecture a 400Vfine-tuned to better adapt it to off-road use. Among the interventions carried out by Jeep technicians, the remodulation of the pedal response and the introduction of the Selec-Speed Controlan off-road driving mode in which the car maintains a constant speed, leaving the driver alone to manage the steering.
massive shapes

The proportions are that of a true Jeep off-roader, with the traditional front grillesquared profiles and raised wheel arches. Almost a more modern evolution of the stylistic features of Wrangler. And just like the iconic stars and stripes off-road vehicle, the Recon also features removable doors and tailgate without the use of tools, as well as a double panoramic roof.

The interior layout is modern, with a dashboard dominated by the maxi infotainment display 14.5”the largest ever seen on a Jeep, which allows you to interact with the new interface Uconnect 5. This is combined with digital instrumentation from 12.3”as well as a good set of physical buttons inserted in the central tunnel. A component that extends to touch the dashboard, also housing the driving mode selectors for theoff–road. At the moment Jeep does not communicate the capacity of the trunk, except for that of the front trunk, 85 liters, and the overall capacity when the rear row is broken down, 1,867 litres.
