Jean-Julien Rojer has won the thirtieth ATP title in doubles after winning the Dallas tournament | Sport

The 40-year-old Dutch doubles specialist won the final against Brit Lloyd Glasspool and Finn Harri Heliovaara with his partner Marcelo Arévalo from El Salvador. It was 7-6 (4) 6-4 for the first seeded duo.

Rojer and Arévalo have only been playing together since the Australian Open. In the first round of that tournament they lost to Botic van de Zandschulp and Robin Haase. Van de Zandschulp is since today top fifty player in singles and Haase won yesterday the final of the ATP tournament in Rotterdam in the doubles, in which he played together with Matwé Middelkoop.

Davis Cup captain Paul Haarhuis has not called up Rojer for next month’s meeting with Canada. The Dutch tennis players hope to qualify for the Davis Cup Finals at the end of this year. The selection of Haarhuis consists of Van de Zandschulp, Tallon Griekenpoor, Haase, Wesley Koolhof and Matwé Middelkoop.
