The British retail chain JD Sports will in future be presented in the Saarbrücken shopping center Europa-Galerie on a significantly larger area. In the course of several months, the branch there was expanded by 370 square meters. For reopening on Friday, it now has a total area of around 640 square meters.
JD Sports was already represented in 2014 with its own store in the largest shopping center in Saarbrückens, which is managed by the real estate company Sonae Sierra on behalf of the owner Union Investment.
Dirk von der Ahé, Leasing Manager at Sonae Sierra in Germany, is happy about the greater presence of the retailer. “The new modern store on a significantly enlarged area is a clear commitment to the attractive location in the center and at the same time a positive signal for inpatient trading on site,” he said in a statement. “The visitors to the European Gallery are now expecting an even greater variety of shopping.”
