Rally driver Jari-Matti Latvala, 40, is accused of gross tax fraud. The charge was raised on 7 August.

According to the indictment, the suspected crime was between October 2015 and October 2018. The content of the prosecution becomes public only when the matter is dealt with.

Latvala is the only accused of the story. The lawyer is the Tax Administration. It’s not the first time when a rally driver and a taxpayer meet in court.

In a book published in the summer, Latvala said he had paid the taxpayer EUR 4.5 million debt.

Latvala moved to Monaco in 2008. He has not been a professional for years. Today, he acts as a team manager.

Latvala is one of the most successful rally drivers in Finnish history in terms of winning winnings.
