It is a meeting of dogs Friends Netherlands. Every year the club organizes several meetings in the country, but also tour rides. Dominique Zwerver drove 150 kilometers from Hengelo to Zwaag.
From Hengelo to Zwaag
“You do it for this.” With his Honda Accord from 1980, he is more than happy to participate in the ride that leads via Zwaag to Schellinkhout. And who brings the participants via the Zuider- and Oosterdijk to Enkhuizen and finally to Medemblik.
“I got in and immediately fell in love,” Dominique explains. “The car would actually go to the dump. But I was able to buy it and refurbished.”
Never sold outside of Japan
That Harry Molenaar from Oudkarspel is a Honda fanatic is apparent from everything. Even his clothes, with Honda-shirt and cap, has been adjusted to it. “I have five Hondas,” he says proudly. Today he rides with his yellow convertible, a Honda Beat from 1991. “It has never been sold outside of Japan. And moreover, the weather is ideal for a convertible.”
