At least Dave Navarro, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins met in the studio to collaborate.
It now seems clearer than ever that Perry Farrell was the big problem on Jane’s Addiction recently. Because now – despite the band breaking up three months ago – Dave Navarro, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins have come together in the studio. But the music-making took place without their former frontman Perry Farrell, as an Instagram clip from Avery suggests.
Jane’s Addiction without Farrell?
Eric Avery’s video, which he shared on his Instagram channel with the words: “I’m writing a few new lines about Stephens, shows that they were really keen to work together creatively [Stephen Perkins] Drumming. I look forward to hearing something from Mr. [Dave] To get Navarro to do it. 2025!”

What’s going on with Perry Farrell at the moment remains unclear. After the break with the group, his wife stated that he had “already made appointments with an ENT doctor and a neurologist” and that he wanted to take time “to think” after the argument in the middle and backstage.
Are these deconstruction now?
As early as 1991, after Jane’s Addiction broke up for the first time, the band got together to make music without Perry Farrell. Avery and Navarro called their project Deconstruction at the time. They had actually planned to include Perkins, but he ultimately had to be replaced by drummer Michael Murphy because Perkins instead joined Farrell’s Porno for Pyros. Their only album to date was released in 1994 under the band name. It is unclear whether this might be a new edition of Deconstruction.
