Jan Joost van Gangelen would like to work as a presenter of the late talk show Op1. The sports presenter thinks he would do an excellent job of that. “I think that role suits me well.”
It’s kind of the common dream of almost every celebrity: to present a talk show. Jan Joost van Gangelen also has that ambition. He doesn’t have to be on the TV five days a week, but one evening on Op1 would suit him well. If there is interest, the public broadcaster can call him.

Jan Joost would like to do more than just sport. “I’m working on making a great podcast, but it’s still in its infancy. In addition, I would like to do something different from what I do now, something that has nothing to do with sports.”
What then? “I would love to present Op1 one evening a week. Shake things up a bit. I can really combine that with my work, because in general I am only busy on Thursday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. I think that role suits me well, actually.”

It’s no secret that Jan Joost suffers from a severe and chronic form of overconfidence. He called himself the best sports presenter in the Netherlands last summer.
“I think Wilfred and myself are the best. Yes… That’s really taste, because very often I find it boring in others.”
