Actor and comedian Jamie Foxx could not have believed that he could have a seizure.

The idea seemed so far-fetched that when the actor found out about his condition after a stroke last spring, he thought he had been pranked.

Foxx talks about his experiences on The Graham Norton Show.

After the attack, Foxx lost 20 days of his life. He didn’t remember anything about the days. When the actor emerged from the “fog”, he noticed that his legs could not carry him.

– Will I be pulled over, Foxx says he thought.

Foxx was forced to accept that he had suffered a stroke due to a cerebral hemorrhage. He had to find a way to recover.

– The only way to recover was to be funny, Foxx remembers thinking.

– If I could be funny, I could stay alive.

– When they came to check me, I joked so much that they thought there was something wrong with me.

Foxx says, for example, that he joked for three days that he was the actor Denzel Washington.

In the program, Foxx reflected on how he usually imagines only positive events in his own life.

– I tell people that you never think of it as a tragedy when you dream [tulevaisuudesta]the actor says.

– That’s what you only dream of: to get a house and a car. But it is not thought that something bad will happen.

Even though the experience was tough, Foxx says that he is doing well at the moment.
