Private boss Evert Santegoeds wonders whether Jeroen Pauw will go to the funeral of his ex-girlfriend Manuëla Kemp. “Whether he will come over from Curaçao for this will become clear this week.”
The death of Manuëla Kemp (61) has caused a lot of sadness in showbiz land and far beyond. Numerous celebrities have said nice words about the presenter, including her ex-partner Jeroen Pauw. He had a relationship with her for eight years and has a beautiful, loving photo of them together Instagram placed.
‘Everything is Manuela’
We see Jeroen and Manuëla sitting in their colorful living room. “This photo from the 1990s for the VARA guide series Buis en Haard. Everything here is Manuëla, the range of colors, the African canvases on the ceiling, the things collected from all over the world with which she transformed that old farm stable into a paradise…”
“For both of us, this was our first home. There was never a moment of silence in the house with her, there was singing, crafting, cooking and laughing. The generous, exuberantly talented Manuëla ‘decorated life’ for herself, for everyone around her and, during our 8-year relationship, very much for me.”
Rock and roll
Jeroen will never forget Manuela. “A time of dazzling rock & roll and also lovingly serene togetherness at ‘our’ Symi where we loved staying… She is gone but leaves behind so much love and memories. ❤️”
Still, private boss Evert Santegoeds, who was also friends with Manuëla and was still at her ICU bed last week, wonders whether Jeroen will be at the funeral. He is currently staying in Curaçao and has therefore apparently not appeared at her ICU bed.
‘I’m curious’
Evert wonders whether Jeroen is going to book a ticket. “I’m curious if Jeroen Pauw is there. It is of course free from Bar Laat at the moment and is usually in Curaçao. Whether he comes across for that will become clear this week,” he says at the desk Show news.
They have been together for almost a decade, so you would expect that, Evert thinks. He adds in his podcast: “But that didn’t end very pleasantly at the time, so I don’t know whether he will come back for that.”
Thought
It will be a beautiful ceremony, Evert expects. “In any case, with a lot of music. I’m preparing for that, yes. You can bet that all those people who loved her so much will sing for Maan one more time.”
The funeral will be private. “Yes. I thought it would be a bigger celebration, but I think it is in the spirit of Maan, who already lived a bit of a secluded life in Portugal. It is also extremely difficult for Tjerk. I can imagine that you only invite your friends.”
