The sportswear provider Jako AG is expanding its logistics capacities.

On Tuesday, the company presented its plans for the construction of a new logistics center at the company headquarters in Mulfingen-Hollenbach, Baden-Württemberg. “In addition to a state-of-the-art container warehouse, the almost 8,000 square meter building will contain all logistics areas from goods receipt to shipping,” said Jako. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in October and the facility is scheduled to be completed at the beginning of 2027. The company estimated the investment volume at 60 million euros.

The new center is being built in the immediate vicinity of the company headquarters and will be connected to it by a bridge. Jako already has its own logistics capacities in Hollenbach. It wasn’t until 2023 that “a new high-bay warehouse was opened there, thereby almost doubling the storage capacity,” according to a statement.

CEO Nadine Sschläger explained the reasons for the new building project. “In order to continue to grow in the future and to supply our customers quickly and reliably as usual, the next expansion is now necessary,” she explained in a statement. “For us, collections with long delivery times, constant availability of all items and fast delivery times are the basic building blocks of success. This results in constantly increasing demands on logistics, which is why we are taking the next step and investing 60 million euros in the Hollenbach location.”
