Jackets made from PET bottles at Manor and Round Rivers

The Swiss trading group Manor AG is releasing a capsule collection with Round Rivers.

In collaboration with Zurich brand Round Rivers, Manor is launching a limited unisex collection consisting of jackets made from recycled PET bottles, the retailer said in a statement last week.

The Zurich-based label cleans up the Limmat, a river in Switzerland, by collecting plastic bottles from the water and using them to make upcycled winter jackets and swimwear. The clothing is produced within a radius of 140 kilometers, according to the brand’s website, which also breaks down the supply chain for each product.

The capsule collection is limited to 1,050 items and includes two jackets and a vest. The outer material of the jackets was made from upcycled PET bottles and the inner material from recycled polyester. All models are reversible and combine two different colored looks.

“Collaborating with Manor is game-changing for Round Rivers as it gives us the opportunity to share our commitment to sustainability in the fashion industry with a larger audience, educate and spread the word about topics such as upcycling,” said Peer Hornung, Founder of Round Rivers, in the release.

The collection is available now at Manor’s online store and in 15 of the retailer’s brick-and-mortar stores.
