Jack Wolfskin appoints new management positions for Great Britain and Northern Europe

German outdoor specialist Jack Wolfskin has appointed new executives for the UK and Northern Europe markets.

Steve Rosier has been appointed country manager for the UK and Ireland, the Idstein-based company announced on Monday. As Head of Sales, Göran Bånge will be responsible for the Northern Europe Nordics region. Elizabeth Mapp is also the new UK Marketing Director.

Rosier will be mainly based out of the showrooms in Towcester near Northampton and Windermere in the Lake District. He brings over 30 years of experience in the sports and outdoor industry. Most recently, he worked for the US sports goods company Under Armor as Senior Sales Manager for the British market.

The Towcester showroom will also be complemented by a five-strong sales and customer service team to support growth in the region.

“Jack Wolfskin has a strong brand presence with eight Jack Wolfskin stores and over 300 online and offline retail partner points of sale in the region,” said Richard Collier, CEO of Jack Wolfskin. “With the new structure and leadership team, we will continue to establish the brand in our key outdoor and lifestyle categories.”

Bånge is a former golf pro with more than 10 years of experience in the golf and outdoor industry. Most recently, as Key Account Manager at the Swedish ski and outdoor brand Peak Performance, he was responsible for sales in the golf category in the Nordic countries. Göran heads the region of Tranås in southern Sweden.

“Göran’s well-respected reputation, in-depth market knowledge and well-established relationships with key accounts will be of great benefit to Jack Wolfskin,” said Collier. “The Nordic population, with their strong outdoor orientation and connection to nature, is a perfect environment for our brand. With Göran’s leadership, we expect rapid sales growth in the coming months and years.”
