Mediaciticus Mark Koster has written a spicy piece in De Telegraaf in which he blames Jack van Gelder Populism. It disturbs Mark that Jack said that the word ‘asylum’ would only occur on page 62 in the VVD election program. “That was populism, because it is already reading on page 2.”

Both equal

What does Jack think that Mark puts him down as a fact -free populist? “Do you want to be catched up? I had contact with Mark Koster, because that was the columnist,” he responds in The Oranjezomer.

He continues: “I told him that we may both be right, but in the party program of the VVD on page 62, asylum and migration are being discussed for the first time. He pointed out that it also stood before, but we found each other.”

Friends for Life

Jack has all forgiven Mark. “We are friends for life. I only think that is good to talk. Then you will doubt whether you have seen it wrong yourself, but we both saw it well, so we are both a bit right.”

All in all, was it a good conversation? “Yes.”
