JA21 makes entrance: ‘The voter clearly wants a new policy’

“We are simply in the Provincial Council”, JA21 party leader Willem Rutjens sounds happy. “We are very happy with that. The voters have made themselves heard and have given us confidence.”

With these elections, newcomer JA21 makes its entrance in the Brabant Provincial Council and the Senate. The exit poll now predicts two seats for the party.

Willem Rutjens finds it significant that the newcomers, such as BBB, Volt and his own party seem to be coming out well. “I conclude from this that voters simply really want a different policy than has been pursued so far,” says Rutjens.

The mood is good tonight among JA21 members, the party leader notes. “Tonight we are going to have a party and tomorrow we will get back to work in earnest. The voter has said she wants us in the States. Now we have to make it happen”, says Rutjens.

“We have to look at the big winner for that,” he says, referring to BBB. He hopes that they will be open to cooperation.
