Currently, 199 grams and 215 grams of faspass bags are on sale.
Soon their packaging size will decrease. 199 grams changes to 175 grams, and 215 grams to 199 grams.
Also, wrapping chocolates shrink from 270 grams to 250 grams.
– These changes are coming in early May, so the sliding size change will be visible on the store shelves around the turn of the month, says Fazer Confession Director Liisa Eerola For Iltalehti.
The reason for the change is the rise in costs related to raw materials and manufacturing. Eerola states that the most significant of these is the price of cocoa.
The rise in the price of cocoa is also reflected in the pack size of the fasuup pieces. Fazer
By reducing the size, the effect of the increase in cost on the end product is smaller. However, Eerola points out that consumer pricing is responsible for the deal.
The steep rise in cocoa has been influenced, among other things, by the poor cocoa parts of producer countries, which in turn is due to extreme weather conditions.
This week, Iltalehti also told about the reduction in Marabou’s chocolate bar. The price of chocolate bars has not been raised, so the solution is to reduce size.
– Retail trade determines the final consumer prices. By adjusting the packaging sizes of some of our products, we will continue to provide us with a diverse and affordable selection for retailers – without the quality of our products, said Mondelez Finland Oy’s CEO Niklas Lilius in the bulletin.
The changes in Marabou will take effect during the autumn and primarily apply to 87-100 grams and 180-200 grams of Marabou chocolate albums.
