Gerard Joling (63) is incredibly disappointed that he has such large bags under his eyes. He fears that they will never leave and does not want to be treated for it. “I think you’ll see that then.”
It’s no secret that Gerard Joling is a vain singer. He thinks it’s important to look good, but he’s also getting older. The entertainer is now 63 years old and is slowly creeping towards seventy. “Of course I notice it in everything, such as my skin, that I’m getting older,” he says in the Weekend.
Deformed Gerard?
Can Gerard accept this or will he soon look like some elderly Koen Kardashian? “I do accept it. If I didn’t accept it, I would become a very scary person. Then I start looking like people who have a deformed face due to certain treatments and that is the last thing I want.”
Doesn’t he do botox anymore? “Well, that was a very long time ago. But you also have to do that as minimally as possible. Other than that, I hardly do anything at all. The thing is, if you’re going to do it, do it thoroughly. And get it done by a good doctor. I sometimes see people with whom I think: what did they have done? I am very careful about that.”

Gerard thinks he still looks pretty nice. What grade does he give himself when he looks in the mirror? “Um… a 7.5.”
That is not the best. “Because I have a lot of bags under my eyes and they never go away.”
Can’t he just do a lower eyelid correction? Or fill it up? “Yes, you can, but I don’t hear that. I think you see that.”
