“It hasn’t always been easy”

– I hope that now and in the coming years I can serve Sweden in both good and bad times, both good times and times of great challenges. Sweden, which is firmly rooted in its history and looks steadily towards a bright and happy future, he said and ended his speech with his election slogan.

The celebration of the king’s 50-year reign has so far included a service of thanksgiving in the church of the royal palace and the greeting of the royal family from the balcony of the palace.
