Last week, Iltalehti reported that comedian Ismo Leikola had broken his back in the ATV accident.
As a result, he carried out two of his Turun stand -up presentations for the weekend, mainly in a sitting position.
The comedian has released an Instagram video of his recovery, where he shows how he performs his daily chores and performs at his first gig after the accident.
– The broken back hasn’t broken my mind! The gigs have been particularly fun, so come laughing with me! He writes.
If the publication is not visible, you can watch it from here.
The video shows how to wear a back support on Leikola at the beginning of the day, after which he starts with the help of a rollator.
– I can’t wait to be old, Leikola jokes while walking on a rollator.
The video shows the stage arrangements so that the comedian can sit comfortably during the performance. At the start of the performance, the audience will receive him on the stage with a loud applause.
-Are you ready to hear comedy, but not so much stand-up today, Leikola starts her show joking and continues:
“I have this kind of back support so I can walk a few steps, but I won’t stand for a long time,” he says.
Leikola says he stood and walked a few times during the show, but most of the time he sat.
In the video, he does not tell how the gig went, but based on the screams and applause of the audience, it seemed to have done well.
Ismo Leikola said on Friday last week on his Instagram account that he was injured in an ATV accident.
– On Sunday, a motor sports column. At the ATV, I jumped too long. He came down to his nose and bumped his back so much that the vertebra broke, he said with a video release.
After the accident, Leikola spent three days at a Swedish hospital.
– I am surprisingly good oxygen, not pressing nerve nerve and that’s all okay, he said.
The recovery of the accident was said to affect Leikola’s gig. Due to the instructions of the doctor, he had to move several gigs in Finland and elsewhere in Europe.
Despite the accident, Leikola performed two gigs in Turku. Helsinki gigs are also being held, according to a ticket sales release. The gigs of Oulu, Tampere and Pori, on the other hand, decided to move.
– The gigs in Oulu have to be moved, because traveling there is not a good idea. Nokia-Arena’s megashow will not work without a whole spine, so it will move. Pori gigs were already moving, the release commented.
Ismo Leikola has been named the “funniest person in the world”. Matti Matikainen
