Certain places are designated as dog off-leash areas. “Here they can run loose, but they must always be under apple,” said the forester. “Otherwise they will roam. Then they will dig their noses into the ground and track down game. They can go after young animals and hunt nests. That is something we do not want. They have to stay on the path.” That rule is there to protect plants and animals, but also to prevent nuisance for other visitors.
