Telegraaf journalist Wierd Duk, now also known from Today Inside, wonders whether Princess Amalia is on the Ozempic. “Or is it a disciplinary diet?”
Quite striking: both Wierd Duk and his ex-lover Fidan Ekiz – together they have a child – both wrote a lyrical column about Princess Amalia on the Telegraaf site yesterday. She states in her piece that she is really made for royalty, he notices in his contribution that the Crown Princess feels so good about herself.
‘Is it Ozempic?’
Amalia celebrated her 21st birthday last weekend. “She will undoubtedly find comfort in remembering her youth, when she was so cruelly mocked for her weight,” Wierd writes.
The regular VI guest wonders how the princess lost so much weight. “Whether it is thanks to Ozempic (a slimming drug, ed.), or thanks to a disciplinary diet: the heir to the throne looks fantastic these days.”
Middle finger
Wierd thinks it’s very clever of her. “She can raise her middle finger to anyone who ever fat-shamed Amalia,” he says. “Amalia undoubtedly has concerns about her future. But she does feel good about herself. And that’s half the battle.”
And his ex-lover Fidan? She can’t wait until Amalia is queen. “Rarely have I seen a princess so made for royalty as Amalia. Every now and then I have to remind myself how young she still is. That someone so young can radiate so much elegance, strength and self-confidence!”
Long live the queen. Huzzah, huzzah, huzzah!
