TO sometimes they come back. AND 2025 will begin with the return of the cascading bob, also known as Pob, “Posh Bob”. Famous in the early 2000s, it is the yoke made famous by Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham: cut just below the jaw and slightly rounded. With the new year, it returns in better shape than ever, ready to be the first of the hair trends of 2025.

A step back in time: 2006, Victoria Beckham, Spice Girl, shows off a classic bob with a glam twist, renamed “Pob”acronym for Posh Bob, or elegant bob.
It was a medium cut flush with the jawwith a clear cut on the neck and descending front locks, shorter at the back and slightly elongated forwards to frame the face. A very sophisticated look, with the advantage of especially suitable for finer hair thanks to its “ball” shape which gives greater volume to the stems.
But let’s get back to the present. More than twenty years after its official debut, the Pob, or, technically, cascading bob, is back among us. Over the years it has also been chosen by Gwyneth Paltrow in 2008, in a moment of profound change when he decided to cut his long blonde hair.

Cascading bob, versions for 2025

The most classic version includes the parting in the center or at most on the side, but the cascading bob can also be enriched with a fringe. Even more retro.
